Information on Private Lessons


MOM, DAD, & ME   (Ages 18 months - 3 years)                   45 minutes    
This playfull structured 45 minute coed class involves strong parent participation. Concepts such as movement, motor control, manipulative skill development, rhythms and simple gymnastics elements are included. Students use many types of gymnastics equipment in this structured, creative learning environment.     Instructor/student ratio = 1:10  

MINI BEARS   (Ages 3 & 4)            45 minutes    
In this 45 minute coed class the young gymnast works independently with the instructor to continue exploring movement education and expanding perceptual motor control. All equipment is used including bars, balance beam, trampoline, vault, and floor exercise.      Instructor/student ratio = 1:6

PANDA BEARS   (Ages 5 & 6)        60 minutes    
In this 1 hour coed class the young gymnast works independently with the instructor. Exploring and expanding his or her skill development through verbal and physical repetition. All equipment is used including bars, balance beam, trampoline, vault and floor exercise. Listening skills and simple skill progressions are incorporated. 
Instructor/student ratio = 1:6

Cartwheel Clinic   (Ages 3 to 6 , Ages 7 to 10 )   60 minutes 
This sixty minute class is popular, especially for those who are working hard towards learning and perfecting their cartwheels.  Instructors use drills, individual instruction and lots of practice during this clinic.

Back Handspring Clinic  
(Ages 6 to 10 , Ages 10+ )  60 minutes 
This sixty minute clinic is packed with drills, progressions and individual instruction for those who are working on their back hand spring.

Strength & Conditioning Clinic   (Ages 7+ )  60 minutes
This sixty minute class will consist of instruction in various areas of gymnastics and athletics by an instructor.  The goal is to provide specific coaching points for the athlete to carry with them throughout their gymnastic and athletic endeavors.
 
GIRLS/BOYS BEGINNER GYMNASTICS  (Ages 6 to 8 Girls, Ages 6 to 8 Boys)   60 minutes     
Students in this sixty minute class are taught the basics of gymnastics through a progressive method of instruction. Flexibility and strength are introduced to complete a well rounded gymnastics experience. All gymnastics equipment appropriate for this level will be used. Movement to other levels are by skill.  Instructor/student ratio = 1:8

 
GIRLS/BOYS BEGINNER GYMNASTICS PLUS  (Ages 6 to 8 Girls, Ages 6 to 8 Boys) 90 minutes 
Students in this ninety minute hour class are taught the basics of gymnastics through a progressive method of instruction. Flexibility and strength are introduced to complete a well rounded gymnastics experience. All gymnastics equipment appropriate for this level will be used. Movement to other levels are by skill.  Instructor/student ratio = 1:8

GIRLS/BOYS BEGINNER GYMNASTICS INTERMEDIATE 
(Ages 6 to 8 Girls, Ages 6 to 8 Boys)  90 min. 
Students in this 1 1/2 hour class are taught  higher progressions of gymnastics. Learning from their basics, each gymnast learns at their own pace. Flexibility and strength are encouraged and are helpful for the gymnast to improve and gain skill. All gymnastics equipment appropriate for this level will be used. Movement to other levels are by skill.
Instructor/student ratio = 1:8



GIRLS/BOYS BEGINNER GYMNASTICS ADVANCED  (Placement by skill, class for each gender) 
Students in this 2 hour class are taught  some of the highest progressions of gymnastics. Learning from their intermediate skills, each gymnast progresses at their own pace. Flexibility and strength are required and are helpful for the gymnast to improve and gain skill. All gymnastics equipment appropriate for this level will be used. Movement  from this level may include team involvement.   Instructor/student ratio = 1:8

TRAMPOLINE & TUMBLING FOR BEGINNERS  
(Ages 6 and up)    60 minutes    
Students in this 1 hour class are taught some of the basics of trampoline and tumbling. Each student progresses at their own pace. Flexibility and strength are introduced and are helpful for the student to improve and gain skill. All equipment appropriate for this class will be used. Movement from this level is by skill.          Instructor/student ratio = 1:8

TRAMPOLINE & TUMBLING INTERMEDIATE & ADVANCED (Placement by skill)   90 minutes    
Students in this 1 hour class are taught higher progressions of trampoline and tumbling. Each student progresses at their own pace. Flexibility and strength are encouraged and are helpful for the student  to improve and gain skill. All equipment appropriate for this class will be used. Movement from this level may include team involvement.  
Instructor/student ratio = 1:8

CHEER TUMBLING FOR BEGINNERS  (Ages 6 and up)    60 minutes    
Students in this 1 hour class are taught some of the basics of tumbling for cheerleading. Each student progresses at their own pace. Flexibility and strength are introduced and are helpful for the student  to improve and gain skill. All equipment appropriate for this class will be used. Movement  from this level is by skill.   Instructor/student ratio = 1:8

CHEER TUMBLING INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED   (Placement by skill)    90 minutes    
Students in this 1 hour class are taught some of the basics of tumbling for cheerleading. Each student progresses at their own pace. Flexibility and strength are introduced and are helpful for the student  to improve and gain skill. All equipment appropriate for this class will be used. Movement  from this level is by skill.  Instructor/student ratio = 1:8

HOME SCHOOL      (Various ages)              60 minutes    
The perfect balance of physical education and gymnastics exploration. Body awareness, flexibility, and general fitness are some of the focal points. Instructor/student ratio = 1:8

HIGH SCHOOL CLASS   (Ages Vary)  120 minutes (Drop in rates available).
This class is reserved for all levels of high school team and recreational gymnasts.  It will cover all of the aspects of every competitive event and include other non-competitive events such as trampoline and tumbling.  This class is a great way to improve one's flexibility, strength and endurance.  Instructor/student ratio = 1:10

ADULT CLASS   (Ages 18 and Up)    60 minutes (Drop in rates available).
This free-form class is supervised by one of our senior instructors.   All areas of the gym are open for exploration.  This open workout caters to the adult enthusiast and can be a great way to improve both skill and flexibility for this and many other sports. 
Instructor/student ratio = 1:10

PRIVATE LESSONS
One-on-one sessions for gymnasts are a great way to get personalized instruction.  If your child is having difficulty with a particular skill or would like to focus on a new skill, please schedule a thirty minute or sixty minute lesson with one of our experienced, safety-certified instructors.  Cheerleaders, Martial Artists and other Athletes Welcome!  

Member fee for thirty minutes is $35.00                    Member fee for sixty minutes is $65.00
Non-Member fee for thirty minutes is $40.00.          Non-Member fee for sixty minutes is $70.00.

All fees are to be paid before the private lesson begins (cash, check or charge).  Emergency reservations, sooner than the next available date may be possible at an additional cost.  LGC reserves the right to refuse a lesson request.  We reserve the right to cancel a private lesson and return a full refund.  All lessons start and stop as per the agreed time regardless of the chilent's presence.  Cancellation notice: Please contact the gym at least 24 hours prior to your lesson if you need to cancel, otherwise you are expected to pay for the scheduled time.  Private lessons are  not to conflict with previously scheduled  LGC staff responsibilites.

Can't find the right class at the right time?  Ask  someone at the front desk about the possibility of opening a new class. We often have students on waiting lists for different times on different days.  We will try to be flexible and accommodate your schedule (We need at least three students in a class in order for it to be considered open).
