Ping Wang was a Chinese National and
Olympic Team member and US Junior National Team Coach. With more than
18 years experience as a manager, competitive team program director and
head coach at other gyms, owner Ping Wang brings a wealth of experience
to the Loudoun Gymnastics Center. A Chinese National and Olympic Team
Member, Ping also served as US Junior National Team Coach. With an
advanced coaching degree from the Physical Education College of
Beijing, he has also received the honor of master sports man. Wang has
coached several National and State Champions. (USAG Safety Certified, CPR & First Aid Certified)

Xiao Kui |
Also a Chinese National Team member, Xiao Kui
has a rich history in gymnastics. Earning a degree in Enterprise
Management from the Mine University of Jiang Shu Province, she was also
an Elite gymnast student at the Sports Technology College of the Ji Nan
City, Shan-Dong Province. She has served as a girl's artistic gymnastics
team coach for several different gyms in China and the United States.
Xiao Kui has also coached several National and State Champions. She is
also a popular choreographer with many clients in the area. (USAG Safety Certified, CPR & First Aid Certified)

Coach Annia Hatch

Annia is originally from Cuba where her love for gymnastics began. At age six she went to a special athletic school to train. By age eight, she was placed on the Cuban National Team and at age ten she became National Champion. She defended that title six more times from 1991 to 1997. In 1996 she competed at the World Championships and became the first Latin American and Cuban to medal in a World Championship. In 1998 Annia immigrated to the United States where she once again got the “gymnastics bug”. In 2002, she competed for the first time internationally for the USA at the Visa Cup. At the competition she won Floor and Vault and qualified for the 2003 World Championship Team. In 2004, Annia was selected to the USA Olympic Team. In Athens she won two Olympic silver medals for team and individual vault. Annia has literally grown-up in the world of gymnastics and Loudoun Gymnastics is thrilled to have her as the newest member of their team. |
Coach Rachael Gym Manager

Rachael is the Gym Manager, a role that allows her to wear many hats within the Loudoun Gymnastics Center's framework. She is not only a parent of two girls on the team program as well as a coach in our Girls' Team Program, but she also runs the day to day operations of the gym overseeing all programs. If you ever have a question, chances are that Rachael can answer it. Rachael earned a degree in Latin American Studies at the University of Virginia, and her hobbies include reading, spending time with her family (5 sisters and 2 brothers!) and traveling. Coach Rachael is USAG Safety Certified and Gym Cert Levels 1, 2 and 3 certified. |

Coach
Mike Polifko brings a wealth of gymnastics experience and knowledge to
the Loudoun Gymnastics Center both as a successful competitor himself
and as an instructor with a decade of experience as a competitive men's
head coach having trained numerous state and regional champions. Coach Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from George Mason University and a Master of Education in Motor Learning and Biomechanics from the Curry School of Education at the University of Virginia. He is currently a Physical Education teacher in Fairfax County Public Schools and has also served as an adjunct professor at George Mason University. Coach Mike enjoys implementing cutting edge science and technology into his gymnastics practices in a constant effort to create and support the most efficient learning environment for all of his students. His hobbies include photography, playing guitar and spending as much time as possible with his wife and son at home. |
Coach Emily After School Program Coordinator & Pre Team Coach

Coach Emily oversees our After School and KinderCare Program. She competed as a gymnast for twelve years and went all the way to Level 9! Emily earned a B.S.Ed. In both Mathmatics & Secondary Education from Point Park University in Pittsburg, PA in '04 & '08. Her hobbies include yoga, spending time with her husband and family and is a die hard Steeler's fan. Emily is Safety Certified, First Aid Certified and Gym Cert Safety Certified - Level 1-3. |
Coach Wei Girls' Team & T.O.P.S. Coach |
Coach Wei (pronounced "Way") brings over 30 years of international knowledge and experience at the highest levels of our sport to the Loudoun Gymnastic Center. He graduated from the College of Professional Training at the Tian Jing Sports Institute in China and served as both the Chinese National and Olympic Coach from 1983 - 2000. Many of his former students won international acclaim under his tutelage including Jie Lin who won 1st place on the beam at the 1999 World Championships, 1st place on the Uneven Bars at the Individual Event Finals at the World Championships in 2000, and then a 2nd place finish again on the Uneven Bars at the Olympics in 2000 in Sydney Australia, where Team China won the bronze team medal as well. During Wei's coaching tenure in China, his gymnasts were able to win a total of 36 1st place titles in the chinese National Championships! We are VERY lucky to have such a stellar and professional coach working at the Loudoun Gymnastics Center! Coach Wei coaches girls Optional Levels as well as the TOPs program, but his influence and can be seen at all levels of our competitive program. |
Coach Manny Team Coach |
Coach Manny, as all of our team coaches, brings a wealth and long history of competitive knowledge and history both as an elite athlete and as a coach holding numerous professional certifications including USA Gymnastics Professional membership and safety certification. But his certifications extend beyond that of the gymnastics realm and into the personal fitness category where he holds a "First Class Professional Personal Trainer" certification from the National Federation of Personal Trainers. Manny's 20 years of experience in the sport and education has culminated into a unique perspective and outlook on the sport. He holds degrees in Pedagogy and Foreign Language Studies from Catholic University in Ecuador, and has experience as an internationally certified "Elite" athlete and coach under the Federation Internationale de Gymnastique's (F.I.G.) criteria competing all over the world. He was also the director and owner of the "Rojas F.O.S.T. Center in Ecuador. In his spare time, Manny enjoys Latino dancing, martial arts, ecology, and reading. |
Coach V Team Coach |
Coach "V" has over 14 years experience coaching gymnastics at the recreational level. Under the gymnastics "umbrella", Coach V has a wealth of experience coaching the many facets of gymnastics other than "artistic" form. This experience includes 10 years of acro-tumbling for competition level dancers, acrobatics and tumbling instruction for a martial arts demo team, cheer tumbling and stunting, and even vaulting as a National Level Trainer. He likes painting, writing, miniature model building, skydiving, dancing, guitar playing and overseas traveling. Coach V is a USAG Pro member, Safety certified and Gym Cert Levels 1, 2, 3 and Boys Level 1 certified. |
Coach Leah Recreational Program Coordinator |
Leah has a B.S. in Nutrition, Foods & Exercise with a concentration in Exercise & Health Promotion from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA. Her training includes movement education, class mangagement, movement analysis, parent education and skill acquisition. Leah has worked with children for over 10 years as a teacher/coach for gymnastics, cheer, ballet, tap, hip-hop, basic karate, soccer and traditional Filipino dancing. Her hobbies include reading, shopping, playing with her bulldog, traveling, collecting pigs and VT Hokie Football! Coach Leah is Safety certified, Gym Cert Levels 1, 2 & 3, USAG KAT (Kinder Accredited Teacher) and USAG MELPD (Movement Education and Lesson Plan Development) certified. |

Nadine has a B.S. in Elementary Education with a concentration in English from Marywood University. Nadine has worked with the owners of Loudoun Gymnastics for more than five years assiting with advertising, marketing and basic business operations. Her hobbies include bike riding with her family, photography, reading and cheering on her children during their various sporting events. |

Kelsey Class Instructor
|
Kelsey is an instructor in our recreational program as well as for birthday parties. Ms. Strickland competed as a high school gymnast and is currently attending college with aspirations of gaining a teacher licensure in either special education or physical education. Kelsey is an avid rock climber and an outdoor enthusiast with a love for hiking. When not in the great outdoors, she can usually be found in the great concrete jungles of the local shops hunting for bargains as she thoroughly enjoys shopping as well! Kelsey is Gym Cert Safety Certified as well as Gym Cert certified for Levels 1-3. |

Maria
coaches our recreational gymnastics classes for girls and boys.
She has been coaching for over three years and is currently taking an
adult gymnastics class too!
Maria is currently on the Dean’s list at George Mason
University as she works towards a B.A. in English so she can be an
elementary school teacher. In her spare time, Maria enjoys
scrapbooking, ballet, jazz dance and gardening.

Betty coaches our Recreational Gymnastics class and is also a Birthday Party Instructor. She competed as a Level 8 rhythmic gymnast for 10 years. Her accomplishments include 2004 Junior Olympian-6th place on floor, 2004 National Champion-1st place overall and 2003 Natinal Champion-3rd place overall. She will be attending the University of Virginia starting in the Fall of 2010. Her hobbies include photography, painting and dancing. Coach Betty is Safety Certified and Gym Cert Levels 1, 2 and 3 certified. |

Toby coaches our recreational gymnastics program for both girls and boys and is currently a decorated member of the LGC competetive Girls' Team as a Level 9 gymnast winning the State Champion title. Toby also excels in the classroom where she is currently an honor roll student in her high school courses. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family and her church youth group. Toby is Safety and First Aid Certified as well as Gym Cert certified for levels 1, 2, and 3. |

Coach Allie is an instructor in our Recreation program. She has been involved with gymnastics and dance since she was 3 years old and made it all the way to level 9 as a competitor, and currenlty competes for Potomac Falls High School's gymnastics team, where she has won numerous accolades. She has won All Around and individual event titles at both the district and regional level and was named the MVP as a 10th and 11th grader and was also named the Loudoun County Public School's Athlete of the Month in November of 2008. Allie enjoys time with her friends and family as well as staying active not only in gymnastics, but in running, cheerleading and swimming as well. |

Angelica is an instructor in our Recreational Program, and teaches both Panda and Mini Bear classes, girls' recreational class, and birthday parties on the weekends. She is Safety Certified as well as certified for Girls' Level 1, 2 and 3 through Gym Cert. Angelica currenlty attends Potomac Falls High School and in her free time, she enjoys living a healthy and active lifestyle by playing basketball, volleyball, jogging, swimming, but she also enjoys interacting with young children any chance she can and thus volunteers to teach preschool aged children at her school. Angelica is a pleasant and fun loving person and an asset to our program. |

Delaney currently attends Potomac Falls High School. She's been doing gymnastics for over 10 years and is going on her 4th season on the Potomac Falls Varsity Gymnastics Team. She is a member of the DECA Marketing Club and also Lettered as Freshman for Gymnastics. In her spare time she likes snowboarding, wakeboarding, playing guitar and piano. Delaney is Safety certified and Gym Cert Levels 1, 2 and 3 certified. |

Sam
coaches our Recreational Gymnastics Classes for girls and boys and is a
favorite instructor for Birthday Parties at Loudoun Gymnastics.
Sam competed as a gymnast for three years and then was involved in
creative dance.
She will be starting to earn a degree at James Madison University in the Fall 2010.Sam
is also a volunteer at NOVA Loudoun Hospital while maintaining a grade
point average of 3.8. She loves working with children, swimming
and watching movies with her family and friends.

Seema works with our Kinder Care and After School children and has a passion for doing hands on activities and crafts projects with the children. Coach Seema earned a degree in Commerce in India. She enjoys spending time with her daughter, reading books and drawing in her spare time. Coach Seema is Safety certified and Gym Cert Levels 1, 2 and 3 certified. |
